My Girls

Yesterday marked the three year anniversary that mine has been a single cat household.  I miss my girls every day.

I had never imagined losing Chloe before Lou.  I used to worry about how she would be without her big brother.  I still can't get my head around the fact that she went so quickly and it seems like we've been without her a very long time now.

Three years ago I said goodbye to Kelsey as my mom lay in the ICU at the hospital.  The first thing my mom asked from her hospital bed was "How are you doing?"  Kelsey was a big loss and a bright shining light that could never be replaced.

They were two of the sweetest girls you could imagine.  Lou enjoys being an only cat and I know he is happy in these final years being the master of his home.  It's hard though to think of the day when there will be new little furballs running around who never knew my special ones.  I will have to fill them in and tell them lots of stories.

  1. I love when you write posts about your kitties, Jen. I have to admit, this one got me a little choked up. Every animal possess such a unique spirit, and they can enrich our lives so much, if we just let them.
